Doctors

DR STEVEN NASH

Dr Nash joined the surgery in 1999. He sees patients for acute and chronic disease management, antenatal, child health surveillance, and is available for routine appointments and telephone consultation. Dr Nash qualified from St Georges London in 1985 and manages substance abuse in the area.

DR PAUL EVANS

Dr Evans joined the practice in May 2010 will see patients for routine and chronic disease management, and has a special interest in ophthalmology. He qualified from Cardiff in 1995 and is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

DR RACHNA SHARMA

Dr Sharma joined us from a Glasgow practice in October 2012. She sees patients for routine and chronic disease management, child health surveillance cytology and women’s health. She qualified at the Medical College, Indore, India.

Minor Ailments Nurse

DEBORAH WAKEHAM

Deborah joined us from Plymouth C-I-C Community Nursing Team in October 2013. She will see patients for ear syringing, dressings, new patient medicals, smears, and immunisations.

RISPA FISHER

Rispa has a special interest in respiratory disease but will see patients for ear syringing, new patient medicals, smears, disease management, holiday vaccinations and immunisations.

Pharmacists

GRZEGORZ KALITA

Greg sees patients for minor ailments in the same way a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner would. You will be directed to Greg wherever possible first. He assists the Practice Team with prescribing and works closely with the Doctors on Repeat Prescribing.

DANIEL CHALLINOR

Dan manages our prescribing processes and recalling patients for their annual review. He manages the addition of new medications for safety, compliancy and continuity.

Nurses

Deborah joined us from Plymouth C-I-C Community Nursing Team in October 2013. She will see patients for ear syringing, dressings, new patient medicals, smears, and immunisations.

JANE FOX

Jane joined the Practice in Spring 2017 from another Plymouth GP Practice. She can see patients for Chronic Disease Management, dressings, smears and holiday vaccinations.

Mandy has worked at the Practice for a number of years as part of the Receptionist Administration Team. In 2016 she trained to be a Phlebotomist and is now a Health Care Assistant.

KATRINA JAGO

Katrina joined us in October 2018 from another Plymouth practice.

Mental Health Support Nurse

SIMON SKITT

Simon joined the practice in June 2020. He has worked in Community Mental Health Teams across Devon. He will see patients for anxiety, depression and mental health problems. He will also review patients with a mental health diagnosis.

Patient Advisor

Our administration team have a multitude of tasks to carryout and are not just receptionists. They will ask the nature of the problem to ensure you are directed to the most appropriate clinician within the practice. They work under instructions from the Doctors and Practice Manager and are bound by the same confidentiality

Sharon joined the practice in Spring 2009 from another Plymouth Practice. She is more than happy to receive comments and suggestions on how the surgery can be improved. She is available to speak with if you are having any difficulties with any aspect of your healthcare.

Community Midwives

There is a Community Midwife attached to each practice who will look after and advise on pregnancies. They are based at the children’s centres across the city but please contact reception for the details.

Community Nurses

Community District Nurses are attached to the practices to provide care to permanently housebound patients or to those temporarily housebound due to surgery or hospital stays. Please contact the surgery to leave a message for the team or if in an emergency contact 0845 67 10 270.

Health Visitors

We have Health Visitors who are attached to the practice and will help and advise parents on any issues they have with children up to five years of age. They are based at the Westbourne Unit at Scott Hospital or can be contacted through the Children’s Centres across the City but do collect messages from the surgery.
